High-heel
fashion mavens beware. Those high heel shoes in glam style
represent the pangs of foot problems. It’s true; a number
of foot problems are associated predominantly with wearing
high heel footwear on a regular basis. Bunions and hammertoes
are caused by wearing either high heels or shoes that are
too narrow or not long enough for the feet.
For
example, whenever pointy-toed styles are in fashion, many women
make the mistake of buying the wrong shoes. Here is a list of
the potential foot problems linked to wearing the wrong high-heels
and shoes:
Bunions
are triggered by tight-fitting shoes. With the wrong shoes,
a myriad of other bunions may occur. Bony bumps generally, form
at the base of the big toe on the joint. Additionally, bunions
referred to as bunionettes may occur on the joint the baby toe.
There is overwhelming controversy amongst foot experts whether
pointy-toed, tight-fitting or high-heeled shoes cause bunions
or bunionettes. Nevertheless, any of these shoes have the ability
to exacerbate an existing problem.
Calluses
and corns. Dense, hardened layers of skin grow in areas where
friction occurs between the foot and shoes. An aching and painful
rubbing is the outcome with high heels. For example, high heels
that cause the feet to slide forward in the shoe or shoes too
too-narrow that induce discomforting pressure points on the
foot.
Toenail
problems -- are caused by relentless pressure on both the toes
and nail beds. When a person where’s high heels and the incline
forces the toes to plow into the shoe. Nail fungus and ingrown
toenails are associated with regular wear and tear of walking
around in high heel shoes. |
